Jan 18, 2020 Bringing awareness into all our inner dog circles Soooo, it would seem we didn't escape ol' man winter after all. With the pile of snow dumped on us here on Vancouver Island I thought today might be a good day to remind everyone about the risk of salt and debris getting caught in our fav fur pals paw pads. Just be mindful, if you catch any excessive paw licking or your hound is favouring a paw, something could be lodged in the paw pad. Trimming paw pads is important, but as well, our pooches need some fur for protection too. So, it can be a bit of a balancing act in between grooms. I have seen a couple of dogs recently with debris caught up in the paw pad, which I had to clip out when the owner brought their pet in for a nail trimming & consultation. My commitment to your fur pal is when you bring them in for regular nail clipping in between visits, while I have your dog on the grooming table I will trim the pads if necessary at no extra charge. All you have to pay is for the regular fee for nail clipping and I will do the rest on the (dog) house-. I want to stand by my promise to share the grooming in 2020-paw pad health is important to your furry friends. This way, you know I mean what I say and say what I mean. Your business is important to me, but more importantly, so is your pet. With that said-I welcome all dogs at the grooming room and look forward to seeing your pooch soon. Feel free to call, text or email to book the next available appointment or possible drop in for a consultation. As well, I would like to add I will be offering mobile grooming for small and medium size dogs beginning Feb. 2020. Just one more way to provide a service for those who aren't driving and perhaps just had surgery and can't get out right now. No longer do you have to worry. I can come to you. Please feel free to inquire further about this service I provided before I began my adventure in the grooming room. I am more than happy to answer all your questions. Thanks so much for stopping by. See you soon. Lori- Bringing Awareness Into All Our Inner Dog Circles Happy New Year Everyone! I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome those of you returning to the blog and anyone new who is stopping by to see where we are making tracks in 2020.
The first goal is blogging more often to deliver a wider variety of content about our favourite pals. Along with vlogging some grooms. I still have to purchase a camera to begin recording the tips, grooms, procedures and such from the grooming room. So, it could be another month before I have a test vlog uploaded on Youtube and links posted here for viewing. However, it's something I knew I wanted to do when I was given the opportunity to groom at Hounds Hangout. At some point, I hope I can provide a live stream from the grooming room, which would also lead into podcasts. Again. this will take some time to establish, it is where I see the market going. I am going to follow trends to be able to bring the most relevant content to you and yours to stay ahead of the curve so to speak. If I may? I am sure some of the topics may bring awareness or even be controversial. All I know is I want to get to the heart of everything this year and become a valuable resource for the local community and surrounding areas-along with the reaching out to the global network. It's a brand new year where anything is possible and the only thing stopping us from achieving our goals-is a decision. I want to encourage one and all to check back here more often for new content and even join by subscribing for great content to be emailed to you to be the first notified of my new posts. It's free. The other goal is to be the bark of the town-haha I look forward to serving you and your fur friends throughout the new year. Be sure to call or text the grooming room to book the next available appointment. I can be reached @ 604 720 2394. Feel free to email at makingtracksdoghiking@mail.com , as well. Until next time, Lori |
