Some mornings I wake up for the day. Other mornings. I would happily stay under the blankets a little longer-like this morning. Koda has never considered either option relevant.
His solution is wonderfully simple: a joyful pounce that announces the day has officially begun. Piper is usually a bit more reserved, waiting patiently for breakfast while Koda handles quality control of my sleeping habits.
Looking back, I realize these little moments matter. Dogs do not ask whether yesterday was difficult. They invite us back into the present. A walk, wagging tail, fresh air, and another chance to begin again.
​Making tracks is not always about climbing mountains. Sometimes, it is simply following two  happy dogs out the front door and discovering hope has been waiting there all along.
